Miners Strike : 30 Years on
It's 30 years today since the start of the 1984 Miner's Strike. Over the following year a bitter battle between the miners and the government ensued. At stake were jobs, communities and ultimately an entire industry. Thirty years on there are no pits left in the North West coalfield - 大象传媒 Radio Manchester's Steve Beech looks back on the effect their closure's had on the communities that grew up around them.
