Pizzagate: Row after Wolverhampton City Council announces job cuts

A row broke out during a feature on Pete Morgan's 大象传媒 WM breakfast show on Wednesday between local MP Paul Uppal and the city council about cuts to council jobs in Wolverhampton. Mr Uppal accused the Labour-run authority of spending 拢1,400 on a pizza during a trade trip to India.

The figure was on a website highlighting council spending, but it should have said 1,400 rupees - which is 拢13.67.

After a social media row broke out about 'Pizzagate' on the day that Wolverhampton City Council announced 2,000 jobs were to be cut, Pete called on Wolverhampton North East MP Emma Reynolds and political editor for the Express and Star, Dan Wainwright, to talk about the cuts and the pizza row.
