Russia Have Your Say

What do Russians make of what Vladimir Putin is doing in Crimea?

Vladimir Putin has just finished addressing Russia's parliament about the Crimea situation, telling MPs that Crimea "has always been part of Russia" and asking for approval for it to become part of the Russian federation. Officials say 97% of voters backed splitting from Ukraine in a controversial referendum on Sunday. But what do Russians make of what Mr Putin is doing, and what is going on in Crimea? Do they support it? Are they keen to Crimea come back? Mr Putin thanked all Russians for their "patriotic feeling" - how much is that supported in the country? (Photo: AFP)
