Does black Britain deserve reparations for slavery?
Leaders of Caribbean nations have decided to move forward with plans to seek reparations from the former slave-owning states. The political and economic body, Caricom, approved a 10-point plan on seeking compensation from European nations for what they say are the lingering ill effects of the slave trade on the region. In this extract, Nottingham-based African historian, Kwame Osei, tells the 大象传媒's Reya El-Salahi that Nottingham's African and Caribbean communities are also due reparations.
