Kevin hears from the Somali community in Bristol to seek views about a new report which claims that they are amongst the poorest, worst-educated and least-employed in Britain. It’s claimed that poverty is a key issue with over 80% of Somali-speaking pupil qualifying for free school meals. We also hear about the charity Bikes4Africa based in Tetbury which delivers reconditioned bicycles from the UK to schools in Africa. 36 consignments have already been sent, total number of bikes - a huge 13,000! Plus, with the European elections next month, we ask the question – why should Europe matter to the African Caribbean community?
