Migrants in Melilla, misgivings in Malaysia
Nuala McGovern meets some of the people hoping to jump the fence and enter the EU; Jennifer Pak explores what the hunt for flight MH370 affair has done to Malay-Chinese relations
The very personal side of stories which dominate the news. In and around Melilla, a tiny patch of Spanish territory surrounded by Moroccan soil, Nuala McGovern meets some of the African migrants hoping to jump its well-fortified fences and gain entry to the EU. There are moves to make the barriers even higher - but that in turn has spurred a number of mass incursions in recent weeks. In Kuala Lumpur, Jennifer Pak explores hurt feelings on both sides as she explores what the hunt for missing flight MH370 has done to Malay-Chinese relations. The affair hasn't only caused grief and distress to families of the passengers on the plane: it's exposed some of the fault lines between the Chinese and Malaysian governments which neither country is keen to discuss.
