Record Store Day: A vinyl newbie shops with hip-hop DJ

5 live's resident vinyl enthusiast Jim Connolly has been looking into the appeal of vinyl. Here he is record-shopping with a vinyl newcomer Tom Kangro and hip-hop DJ Mr Thing, who has a massive record collection.

One reason often given for vinyl's rise in popularity is Record Store Day, which is taking place for the 7th year on Saturday 19 April. Independent record shops all over the UK are holding special events to celebrate music.
