NUT chief defends summer strike for teachers
National Union of Teachers (NUT) chief, Christine Blower, defends teachers strike in June over pay and workload.
The NUT conference voted for a strike that could close schools in England and Wales in the week beginning 23 June, while it has also decided to consult teachers on further action in the autumn term.
The Department for Education said strikes would "damage the profession's reputation".
