Spanish ‘Kill Jews’ village to vote on name change
It is hard to believe that Castrillo Matajudios in northern Spain has not changed its name before now. Translated into English it means: “Castrillo Kill Jews” – a name that dates back to 1035. This week, 60 residents of the village will vote on a proposal to change it. Rodrigo Desayaez is a Spanish historian and author of the book State Racism.
