Living below the line
Despite being one of the richest economies in the world, food banks in the UK gave out almost a million food parcels last year, a third of them to children.
To highlight the scale of this poverty a Luton woman is living on 拢1 per day for five days.
Shemiza Rashid says the Living Below the Line initiative not only shines a light on the issue, it also encourages people to donate food to the food banks. In this extract she speaks to 大象传媒 Three Counties presenter Yasmeen Khan.
