How Fingerprint Technology Is Changing
Could new technology, pioneered in our area , transform one of the oldest weapons in the fight against crime?
For centuries fingerprints have helped identify criminals and bring them to justice. That has depended on the police being able to find clear prints at the crime scene - then match them to the perpetrator. But now scientists in our region can use them to find out much more about the suspect.
They can discover if the perpetrator is taking medication, if they are dealing - or using drugs, if they've been involved in explosives or even what they've been eating.
大象传媒 Tees has come up with a completely plausible, and not in anyway ridiculous, "real life" crime scenario to see if the new fingerprint technology can help solve the crime of the missing Middlesbrough masterpiece....
