Fairy Tales
Charles Hazlewood is joined by an audience of school students to discuss the musical stories behind some familiar and less well known fairy tales. These include items from Carl Nielsen's incidental music for Aladdin, Ravel's ballet, Mother Goose and Humperdinck's opera, Hansel and Gretel.
The music is performed by the Ulster Orchestra and the Choir of Methodist College. It was recorded at the Ulster Hall, Belfast.
