Milk exports

Sarah meets Alan Bowie from the National Farmers Union of Scotland to find out about ambitious plans to boost exports for the Scottish Dairy industry. For many years Scotland鈥檚 dairy farmers have faced fluctuations in the price they receive for their milk. Alan argues more exports should create a better deal for farmers, by siphoning extra milk out of the market when production is high.
