Laura Trott and dad talk porridge, gold and Jason Kenny

England's Laura Trott won gold in the women's points race on Sunday despite suffering from a kidney infection earlier in the week.

The 22-year-old cyclist said she had been "living on porridge" for two days in order to prepare.

After her victory, 5 live reporter Simon Mundy put her in touch with her dad, Adrian, who was watching in the stands.

He reacted to his daughter's victory, and revealed whether he thought her boyfriend, fellow cyclist Jason Kenny, would be good son-in-law material.

First broadcast on Commonwealth Games Live on 27 July 2014.
