Mother with locked in syndrome: 'Get busy with the now'
In 2003 Dawn Faizey Webster suffered from a stroke when she was 11 weeks pregnant that left her with locked in syndrome. This means she cannot speak or move despite her brain being in perfect working order.
She lives with her parents and communicates to them and her son by blinking and using a specialised computer. Dawn's motto is "get busy with the now and dont look back".
After completing her degree in Art History, she has enrolled for her masters which she will follow with a PHD.
