Fans review the first night of Kate Bush's live tour

Singer Kate Bush received a standing ovation when she took to the stage for the first time in 35 years.

Backed by seven musicians, Bush opened with Lily from the 1993 album Red Shoes. 5 Live's Colin Paterson was at the gig and spoke to fans outside. One told him: "It was incredible. It was absolutely not a greatest hits set. It was two concept parts of two different albums, completely decades apart. Theatrics were absolutely incredible - her son Bertie played a massive massive role. We were just really blown away."

Another fan, called Lucy, told Colin: "It was fantastic, it was magical. It was kind of quite old fashioned in the way that she did it. So it wasn't very techy, there was some fantastic lighting, but all of the costumes were traditional but beautiful."

After Running Up That Hill and King of the Mountain, Kate Bush performed what Colin called a "stunning operatic recreation" of the second side of the Hounds of Love album.
