Staffordshire retailer Phones 4U to go into administration

Staffordshire-based Phones 4U, founded by local entrepreneur John Caudwell, has suddenly gone into administration after mobile networks EE and Vodafone opted not to renew their contracts with the firm. All of Phones 4U's 550 stores will be closed today. Despite making profits of over 拢100m, Chief Exec David Kassler said "If mobile network operators decline to supply us, we do not have a business".
