Bart's Bash
Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Shelley Jory-Leigh look ahead to Bart's Bash.
In the final show of the current series, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Shelley Jory-Leigh look ahead to Bart鈥檚 Bash, a mass worldwide dinghy event being staged in memory of Olympic sailing gold medallist Andrew "Bart" Simpson.
Organised by the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, "Bart's Bash" will see sailing clubs around the world host simultaneous races on 21 September.
Simpson, from Sherborne in Dorset, was killed while training for the America's Cup in San Francisco Bay on 9 May.
Sir Robin and Shelley hear from the founders and ambassadors of the foundation, Sir Ben Ainslie CBE, Iain Percy OBE and Paul Goodison MBE.
They hear from clubs taking part in New Zealand, Australia and in the United States of America.
Also reporter Neil Sackley visits the Andrew Simpson sailing centre to see how the project is helping the next generation of sailors.
The Solent is famous for its rich maritime heritage and H2O covers all aspects of life on the water - leisure, business and sport. Whether you're a sailing professional or just like watching the boats go by on the Solent, the programme will have something to appeal to you.
