“Being female is a harder barrier than being black”
Being female is more of a barrier to cracking the British comedy circuit than being black according to comedian Annette Fagon. The Midlands stand-up - who has been described as the black, female Peter Kay - is performing at the first ever ý Local Radio African-Caribbean comedy night - an event celebrating and showcasing black British talent on Saturday 11th October 2014 at the ý Radio Theatre, London. In this clip she speaks to ý Radio Nottingham's Reya El-Salahi about her experiences.
