Post War Family - Age of Duty
Family life in the south Wales valleys after the Second World War. Seen as the ‘age of duty’ for all children, who had to look after their younger siblings pushing them around the streets in prams in order to take the burden from the mother. She had enough to do – cleaning, washing and daily food shopping in an age before fridges.
