Should Labour be worried about UKIP?
Nigel Farage has promised to park UKIP's tanks on Labour's lawn. At his party's conference in Doncaster, he claimed his party is now tearing vast chunks out of Labour's vote.
Mike Hookem, a UKIP MEP, told Eleanor Oldroyd "It's the Labour vote we are taking in the Yorkshire area. Times have changed and the debates have changed, we took ten councillors in Grimsby and nine in Rotherham. We are supporting the working men and women of this country who feel abandoned by the other parties."
The MP for Don Valley in South Yorkshire, Caroline Flint, disagreed saying "I don't think Labour people or working people in Doncaster are going to be fooled by a party that's led almost exclusively by people who are former Tories."
