Cricket, Italian style in Genoa
In Italy, one of the oldest sports teams in the world is fighting to stay in existence.
The Genoa Cricket Club was formed in the 19th century and are best known for bringing about the birth of Italian football.

After a century out of the spotlight, Englishman Mark Ebury became coach in 2007 and quickly guided Genoa Cricket Club back to the top flight.
Gone are the days when confused locals would ask 'where is your horse?' not realising the difference between cricket and polo. However their raised profile has created more serious problems as they strive to survive in Serie A.
