Ali Smith's novel ‘How to be Both’, nominated for the 2014 Man Booker Prize, has caused a stir with its experimental approach. It’s a book of two parts - one about a modern-day teenager, the other about a 15th Century artist. The publisher released two versions of the novel, each with the same stories but arranged in a different order. Newsnight’s Stephen Smith asks the author why she wants us to see things differently.
