STATHERN
One thing that defines the English countryside is the village church, in so many ways the centre of village life, but often in need of repairs to it's mediaeval fabric or even in need of a congregation, or at least a larger congregation to support the building. One way of keeping the local rural church in rude health is to open the doors to more events, in essence to use it as a place of worship, but also as a more general community centre. Which is exactly what they're doing in Stathern in the Vale of Belvoir.
