Parents negative attitudes to Maths don't help children learn, & a shortage of qualified Maths teachers could get worse.
A survey says parents can be too negative about Maths, and that can affect the attitude of their children towards learning the subject. Northamptonshire schools are inviting parents to join in initiatives to change that. There is also a shortage of trainee teachers specialising in Maths affecting Northamptonshire, according to an expert in the teacher labour market, and it could get worse.
