In 1972 The Washington Post, edited at the time by Ben Bradlee, published a story about a break in at the Watergate office complex in the city.

That piece sparked an investigation that would eventually topple a president and inspire the film 'All The President's Men'.

Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were the young Washington Post journalists who made most of the running on the Watergate scandal and they joined Dotun Adebayo to talk about the man who helped them to publish their stories despite pressure from the Nixon White House.

Ben Bradlee was, they told 5live's Up All Night, a man who could get the best from his journalists and helped make The Washington Post into a paper with an international reputation.
