Knife crime is still a "massive problem" among young people despite police and government initiatives, the mother of a teenager murdered in a stabbing has said.

Joshua Ribera, an 18-year-old rapper was stabbed in the heart outside a nightclub in Birmingham in 2013.

His mother, Alison Cope, has called for better education of young people in dealing with conflict, starting at an early age, to reduce the prevalence of knives used in fights.

"I don't want to see another family go through what I've been through," she said.
