'The Rumble in the Jungle' revisited

It's not every week that you get the opportunity to relive perhaps the greatest piece of sporting theatre of the 20th Century - a memorable night in Africa that entered sporting folklore as 'The Rumble in the Jungle'.

If you are of a certain age you may remember staying up late into the night to watch this fight. If not, we're going to take you back to 30 October 1974 in Kinshasa.

You'll hear from both fighters and those who were there - Sportsworld will be watching the whole of the fight in real time from first bell to knockout conclusion, as Lee James is joined by a man who was in Ali’s corner that night, Gene Kilroy, live from Las Vegas, boxing journalist Colin Hart, who was watching from the stands, and Sportsworld’s boxing reporter Ade Adedoyin.

So, let's head to Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo - where the challenger Muhammad Ali took on the younger, bigger, unbeaten George Foreman for the Heavyweight Championship of the World.
