Disabled teenager asked to leave restaurant
The Harvester restaurant chain has apologised after a family with a severely disabled child was asked to leave one of its premises.
Megan Brennan is 19 years old and has a condition called Angelman Syndrome, a severe physical and intellectual disability, which means she makes noises in order to communicate.
The Brennans were eating in the restaurant at Eastleigh in Hampshire last week when they were told Megan was annoying other customers. Harvester has told 5 live that they're very sorry, that they have spoken the the Brennans in person and the company will learn from the situation.
Megan's mother Helen Brennan describes to Stephen Nolan how the family was told they would be asked to leave if Megan continued to make too much noise.
