The ambulance driving Liberian MP fighting ebola
One politician in Liberia has joined the front line of the fight against ebola. Even before the virus struck, the opposition MP for Montserrado County, Saah Joseph, was very concerned about the country's inadequate health system. He imported six second hand ambulances from the USA, recruited a team of drivers and started taking patients to hospital. Now the vehicles have become an invaluable tool in the fight against ebola. And Saah has even become a part-time ambulance driver himself.
He told Matthew Bannister why he felt the need to get hold of the ambulances in the first place.
