Ryanair boss: Cable doesn't know much about industry
Ryanair boss, Michael O'Leary, says the Business Secretary, Vince Cable, "doesn't know a lot about industry." He's told Wake Up to Money that the government should stop focusing on the shortage of engineers because "the Chinese will do most of the engineering" and the UK needs to get more service sector skills. Mr Cable has been supporting Engineering Week, which is aimed at encouraging more people to join the industry. He declined to respond to the criticisms. The Chief Executive of the National Grid, Steve Holliday, described the remarks as "absolutely extraordinary" and "staggering."
