Rev Coles talks 'financialisation’ in his Autumn Statement
The Rev Richard Coles talks 'financialisation’ in his personal Autumn Statement in a film for This Week.
He asked viewers to look beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday and the "fading digital radiance" of a discounted large-screen television, for a "wholly-unimaginable light breaking in a wholly unexpected place".
The broadcaster and musician said the chancellor's statement was an opportunity to think about what sort of a society people want to live in.
He joined Andrew Neil, Alan Johnson and Michael Portillo to debate his film, and this can be seen on the iPlayer version on the programme, available to UK viewers for 12 months.
