Novak Djokovic became the most decorated male tennis player at the Australian Open in the open era, after taking his fifth title in Melbourne and his eighth Grand Slam overall.

The world number one faced 2013 Wimbledon champion Andy Murray and after a highly contested first two sets, the Serb came through 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-0 in three hours and 39 minutes.
