Fundraiser meeting disabled pensioner: we were 'lost for words'
A fundraiser talks about meeting the disabled pensioner who she's helped raise nearly a quarter of a million pounds for in less than one week.
Alan Barnes suffered a broken collarbone when he was mugged outside his home. The pensioner is less than five feet tall and is visually impaired.
Katie Cutler set up the fundraising page to help him and said that the first time they met "they were lost for words".
She added that he had a very "supportive network around him" and that he would "not be taken advantage of in anyway".
