Houghton: “You’d Thrive Playing next to the Lads”
Stephanie Houghton says “a lot of people would be open” to the men’s and women’s football world cup tournaments being staged together.
The England and Manchester City women’s football captain said “if you're talking about exposure there'll be no better way than to join them both together” and that female players would “probably thrive playing next to the lad’s teams.”
In a wide ranging interview for ‘Canada Calling,’ Stephanie also spoke to the ý’s women’s football reporter Caroline Rigby about her team’s preparations for the women’s world cup – including England’s match against the USA on February 13th.
