Then, he'd suggested that people on sick pay could be given work in tele-sales during their recoveries - another highly controversial topic.

But in the third hour of his programme, Alex opened the show to calls from people with psychic experiences. Having heard the astonishing stories of a caller who foresaw 9/11 and a woman who joined a spiritualist church to communicate with her dead son, Alex got a call from Derek in Portsmouth - who related how his late partner had contacted him in the years since her death.
