Is a quota system holding backing South Africa?

They may be the world's best Test team, but South Africa suffered their worst ever defeat at the Cricket World Cup on Sunday - losing to India by 130 runs in Melbourne.

The former South African captain, Clive Rice, says the national side is being held back because they're unable to pick their strongest team, and believes the selectors are under pressure to include a certain number of non-white players.

Craig Matthews played a crucial role in South Africa's success in the mid-1990s, so does he agree with Clive Rice that there is still a effectively a quota system in operation, even if it's no longer going by that name?
