Stroud: Speed limits dividing communities
As part of the programme's coverage of 100 seats in the 100 days to the election, Sanchia Berg went to Stroud where 20 mile per hour speed limits are a local issue.
Local resident Brian Marks feels the introduction of the speed limits on some roads make it difficult to get around, particularly on the steep inclines to Uplands.
"Many find it very frustrating trying to drive to Uplands...at 20 miles per hour, it's just virtually impossible," he said.
Green Party county councillor for Stroud Central Sarah Lunnon defended the implementation of the speed limits:
"We need a road network that works for vehicles...but is also safe and welcoming and enabling when we're pedestrians or cyclists."
