Tanni Grey-Thompson on motherhood and Jessica Ennis-Hill
Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, who had a child last summer is currently hard in training, is preparing for a return to action at the end of May.
Lady Tanni Grey-Thompson, who won 11 Paralympic golds, had a daughter in 2002 by caesarean section and returned to training just over a week later.
"For me the drive to be an athlete was hugely, hugely important that I came back鈥 said Lady Tanni. She said female athletes plan very carefully when to have a child and Jessica Ennis giving birth to her son Reggie last year was 鈥済ood timing鈥.
Initially combining training and being a new mother "was horrible, there was a reason I had one child" but it also gave her perspective and 鈥渁 different way of looking at things鈥.
