As part of the series visiting 100 seats in the 100 days to the election, Simon Jack has been to the constituency of Totnes.
People in the area have noticed a down turn as shops and bars on local high streets have closed down.
Patricia Candy owns the Kitchen shop in Dartmouth and has noticed a big change in the foot fall on the high street.
"It has been a very flat time, but we hope it's on the up. I'm sure people are waiting for the election, there's alot of uncertainty at the moment, people don't seem to be spending," she said.
