Gloucester: First time buyers
As part of our coverage of 100 seats in the 100 days to the election, Zoe Conway visits Gloucester to see what they thought of the budget on Wednesday.
Chancellor George Osborne announced help for first time buyers in the form of a new 'help to Buy' ISA and said that 拢1000 in savings income will now be tax free.
Shirley, a student nurse, said the 25% top up on deposits for first time buyers was a great incentive.
"It will make such a difference saving for the deposit, when you've already got that guarantee beside you".
Though one couple, Jeremy and Helen, worry that young people simply can't afford to buy.
"The actual divide between wealthy and poor is actually getting larger," said Jeremy.
