Protester on Farage pub demonstration
Nigel Farage has described anti-UKIP protesters as 'scum', after they invaded a pub in Kent where he was having lunch with his family.
The leader was chased down the road in his car by demonstrators who included migrants, HIV activists, disabled people and breastfeeding mothers.
Protest organiser Dan Glass told 5 live the event was designed to bring together a group of different communities who are affected by the "prejudice and abuse from UKIP and other politicians" and celebrate diversity.
When asked if it was acceptable to protest politicians during a private lunch, Mr Glass replied "we all need to have a day off... But we can't get a day off from the prejudice and abuse they spill every day when people read the papers".
