Folk musician Sam Lee: "It鈥檚 like the ancient voice calls"
Sam Lee is a 'song collector' trying to salvage the fading tradition of Irish gypsy folk music, many of which have been passed down through the generations but never written down or recorded.
Lee, picture above on the right, is now travelling around Ireland recording the songs before they鈥檙e lost to living memory and is touched by the way this shared musical history makes friends out of strangers.
鈥淚t鈥檚 amazing watching how people melt in their defensiveness鈥hen they hear a song鈥 it鈥檚 like the ancient voice calls,鈥 he said.
