Contestant needs to insert the correct punctuation into a paragraph

Scene is set in the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Breakfast news room – the actual paragraph used in the activity is read by two newsreaders for clarity. The importance of accurate punctuation is stressed in the context of news and journalistic writing. Contestant needs to insert the correct punctuation into a paragraph (full stop, question mark, exclamation mark, capital letters, commas and apostrophe (for contraction). Paragraph is very clear so pupils can play along in the classroom too. Definition are given for each punctuation mark that is missing. The function of each punctuation mark is very clearly explained and further examples are given to consolidate learning. Correct answers are clearly highlighted and incorrect responses are corrected and explained.
