Afghanistan's Night of the Lovers
It can be tough being a teenager in love. But it's even tougher if you live in Afghanistan. Often families dictate who you marry - and they can forbid you from seeing the man or woman of your dreams if they're seen as unsuitable. So how do you find an outlet for your romantic thoughts? Answer: you call "Night of the Lovers" - a three hour phone-in radio show for the lovesick broadcast once a week on the privately owned station Arman FM. Station manager Sameem Sadat told Matthew Bannister how he first came up with the idea for the show.
