A homeless charity in Leicester says increasing numbers of people in Leicester are living in privately rented 'squalor' - with conditions dating back a century. A group of protesters have set up a campsite on Leicester's Jubilee square. The group, called Democracy A&E brings together campaigners from a variety of protest groups who are challenging politicians of all parties to better represent the public. Three giraffes have travelled across land and sea to their new enclosure at Twycross Zoo. To welcome them, a brand new purpose-built facility has been erected at the Zoo.
