Nicola Sturgeon: SNP 'can be trusted'
SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has insisted her party's MPs "can be trusted" to work in the interests of all Britons.
Critics say the SNP's commitment to independence for Scotland means candidates who win parliamentary seats in next week鈥檚 election would not use their influence to benefit people across the UK.
But Ms Sturgeon told Today the SNP would work "positively and constructively" for people in every nation.
"We remain part of the Westminster system and therefore I would say to people outside Scotland we can be trusted because as long as Westminster decisions affect Scotland it matters to the SNP and it matters to Scotland that those decisions are good decisions," she said.
