Jazz: an example of 'democracy in action'
It鈥檚 the United Nations International Jazz day (April 30th). The UN says jazz breaks down barriers and creates opportunities for mutual understanding and tolerance. Danish musician Niels Lan Doky agrees, and has written a book based on the idea that jazz improvisation can be extended to every part of life. He's explained more to Malcolm Brabant.
