Mary Wilson, founder member of The Supremes
Mary Wilson grew up in a poor family in Mississippi, the daughter of an itinerant worker and a mother who couldn't read or write. She went on to be a founder member of The Supremes, one of the most successful singing groups of all time. When she came into the Outlook studio, Mary told our reporter Tim Allen about her public success and personal tragedy and why she really fell out with Diana Ross. She began by remembering her early life, she was sent as a baby to live with her aunt whom she assumed was her mother.
