Wyre Forest: Next Stop.. Who Knows?
When it comes to unpredictable election results, the Wyre Forest is up there with the best of them. It went from blue to red as part of Labour's landslide victory in 1997, but plans to close the Accident and Emergency department in Kidderminster led to an enormous campaign in the area. Dr Richard Taylor was elected as an independent MP in 2001 and again in 2005. But it was third time unlucky for the veteran campaigner in 2010, when the Conservatives re-took the seat.
